Based in Corona, California, The Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP) announced today the launch and swearing in its Space Coast Regional Chapter located in the East Central Coast of Florida. The Chapter Launch Ceremony was held at Trent Realty, 298 E. Eau Gallie Blvd, Indian Harbour Beach, on Thursday March 13, 2013
Established in 2011, the USA Homeownership Foundation, Inc. DBA Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to increasing sustainable homeownership and economic development for the active military and veteran communities.
“Many real estate and financial service professionals would like to better serve the real estate needs of the 1,411,425 service members and 22,328,279 veterans nationwide,” said Son Nguyen, Founder of VAREP. “However, until now no organization existed that could make it happen; VAREP was founded to fill the void."
Florida has the third largest population of veterans in the nation, with the Brevard County Space Coast Region ranking top 5 in the State. VAREP Space Coast Regional Chapter is the First Chapter to launch in the State of Florida, followed by Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville and Miami/Dade chapters in the second and third quarters of 2014.
The San Antonio Chapter is the 11th VAREP and its members represent and work within all sectors of the real estate, housing and financial services industries. Membership is open to anyone and is not limited to those who have served.
“I am honored to be leading the Space Coast Regional Chapter VAREP Chapter to serving the 70,000 plus veterans in the East Central Space Coast Region of Florida,” said Laureen Trent Chapter President. “We advocate in the policy arena on their behalf, empower our membership to better serve their real estate needs and encourage organizations to create housing programs that suit the military and veteran unique needs.”
